Ashlee Lyvers, CNM

MidwifeBLUE was founded by Ashlee Lyvers, a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with 10 years of professional experience. She has cared for women in Boston and the South Shore, Northern Virginia, and Washington DC.

Ashlee moved to Atlanta in August 2018 to support a friend that was single and pregnant with twins. While offering support during late pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period Ashlee noticed a gap between the physical/medical treatment she was given and the emotional care made available from her providers. MidwifeBLUE is Ashlee’s answer to that untended gap between the medical TREATMENT that most women receive from healthcare providers and the emotional/mental CARE that they desire, require, and deserve.

Ashlee grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana and first experienced midwifery as a senior in college while interning with a local homebirth midwife. The moment Ashlee stepped foot into her first homebirth her fate was sealed. She knew this was her path and began her journey.
After completing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at DePauw University, Ashlee worked as a birth assistant with the homebirth midwife for a year. She went on to attend Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland to complete a Nursing Degree. She moved on to New York City for her M.S. in Midwifery.
